Tax returns will be coming back soon. I'm at a three-ways crossroad as to what I want to spend it on. Hopefully I'll be able to get all of them by the end of the year.. we'll see.

Lowering springs provide a little cosmetic upgrade as well as a little performance upgrade, TRD RSB provides no cosmetic upgrade but much performance upgrade, and window tints provide much cosmetic upgrade but no performance upgrade. I know most of the members here on SG are more performance oriented, but I'd still like to hear what you have to say. Thanks.

Slam it. It's the most dramatic mod you're considering.

i say do what i did first. Rear sway bar. :] The front window tint is iffy because depending how strict it is in the bay area, they may give out tickets rather than fix-it tickets for your front window tint (given that you want to go darker than legal on the front). Down in LA, instead of issueing fix-it tickets, cops now give out actual tickets and tell you that you dont have to take it off because if they find you again, they'll simply give you another ticket which ranges from 100 to 200 bucks. (compared to 10 dollar fix-it tickets). For springs, meh.. i would just save the money and get track worthy suspensions, instead of lowering springs.

I personally would go for performance. thats my 2 cents :]

Why just front?

Because my rear windows are hella black already. But my front windows are clear as day!

Why would I have to get new struts for being an SLE?

and thanks Gary for the tip. I guess I'll just push it to the legal limit (what is it, like 35?) to keep myself out of trouble.

Apples and oranges man... tint or suspension?

Decide what you want out of your ride first then make a proper decision based on your plan - not what a bunch of guys on a forum tell you what to do! ;)

haha thanks Jeff. Just wanted to get a general consensus because all three are equally appealing to me right now.

I like the springs because it feels like our gen2 cars sit real high up. But if IN FACT it is true that in order to put lowering springs on my SLE i'd have to buy new struts as well, then I might have to knock that off the list. Can anyone confirm this?

HOWEVER, black tints on a black car would really set it off and make a large difference in overall appearance.

HOWEVER AGAIN, the TRD RSB is widely acclaimed on this forum and it doesn't help much either that the solara got a big ol booty. I envy the people who write that they pull turns with ease and precision. Something I have yet to experience with this car.

Decisions decisions!
