Just browsing through eBay and came across these. I have HID's already but thought maybe someone here might know more about them.

Those would be purely for looks. It would not illuminate the road at all if any. There is not any LED bulb in production that could take the place of halogens or hids. I admit they might look cool though.

Nice find, but I think BLACK V6 is right:

Proof

They are attempting to use them as fog lights, but I guess its more of bragging rights than anything.

From what I can recollect, some cars are using them but heavy heat output creates heat issues particularly on the housing. Either eay, Lexus LS 600h and RX 450h both use them for low-beam only. Audi is using them also in some vehicles.

Those will look very cool when lit up. But you'll lose ALL functionality of your foglights in terms of usable light output. I was contemplating putting those in to replace my HID fogs....with the projectors on...the HID fogs only wreck the cutoff, so I never use them anymore.

LOL!! sorry - this is TOTALLY OT but I couldn't resist!

I haven't seen that spanking hippo in years! :D

In another forum, we had a contest to see who could change it to make him do other things, like slappin' an upright bass, pull-starting a chainsaw, flinging CDs out of a box... you know, typical computer nerd stuff!

Okay... back on topic: LED H11s are indeed only for looks (decorative fogs) - so don't depend on them in your headlights!

I might give these a try in my Fogs, just to see how they look, I got Hids in the Headlights so they might make up for some light output lost from the Fogs.
