After reading the posts here: http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php?t=32382 I decided to give them a try. I went to the website for JP Performance and did some searching only to find the 3mzfe was not listed.

I called Jose Pulido directly to inquire about the Gen 2's. He informed me they were well in stock and to order one of the other gen's http://jpheadersexhaust.com/cgi-bin/jpp6/rtl/phd.cgi?Autoincrement=000190&tag_rf=Toyota%20Headers%20%20Toyota+Headers and leave the comment Gen 2 3mzfe v6 in the order. Powder coating took approx 5 days because it was sent out. The total time from order to delivery took around 2 weeks spanning the holidays.

They cost me $1681 with shipping to WI included. A little pricey but they scream quality. Included were the 2 headers, y-pipe w/hi-flow cat, necessary bolts, and gaskets for the pipes. Not included were the gaskets for the header/block junction.

Its a little too cold to install in the garage by myself so the car is off to the shop tomorrow!
I will post up some vids once they are on.

I have the injen sri so I'm still going to be using the car's computer to tune. I know the cel's were coming from using the split second to tune the cpe. Hopefully no cels!

Just picked up the car two hours ago and went for a hour long drive. Initial start up and idle sounds inpressive. This car growls now! Butt-Dyno would say hell yes to power gains. Quicker down shifts and transitions between gears. At WOT the car accelerates nicely. I really noticed more pull from the upper end of the RPM range.

I did have one conrern while driving: after a few minutes I could smell something very chemically- but not burning plastic. Could this be the new cat breaking in or maybe a manufacturing oil on the gaskets?

Current set up is an injen sri, JPP headers and y-pipe, with no resonators to the TRD muffler.

Just 2 quick vids of stock, initial mods, and the current JPP setup.

We just got some snow on the ground so grip might be an issue but I'll have the GF stand outside to get some in a little bit!
