yo, i got a 2004 3.3l 3mx-fe engine, and i was talking with some of the members and they told me if i want some serious power then i would ahve to upgrade my tranny, so they suggetsed that i get a better and new fly wheel, so it could produce more power to the wheels, but i cant find one on the net and i need a good lighweight one too, so help would be greatly appreciated, its time to get "Project Solara" on the road

Man...I didn't said the flywheel is the problem. I said make a heavy-duty swap with E153 tranny or go custom upgrade for the current tranny. Tranny cooler is the minimum...

Can you post some pics of your car plz...

man...Gen 2 V6 have all "manu-matic" tranny (code name U151E)
I just say...to get power from the 3MZ the tranny has to be swapped or upgraded but you'll not have support from the aftermarket company...you'll have to go custom. so the manual tranny should be the wiser choice even if it is no that easy Milt figure it out greatly...then after you'll maybe be able to think to boost it...or just get a Supra '98 TT

^^ Yup - if you have a V6, then you're stuck with the same POS tranny the rest of us have... unless you TOTALLY REPLACE it with a manual. End of story.

SO, has anybody looked into a manual for the Gen2, what fits or could make its way into your cars?

LOL Milt, ya bastid!

Well - just 'cuz you're hookin up a 3MZ with a manual tranny doesn't mean you're doin' it on a Gen 2 now does it?

I just don't have the time/moeny/resources to do it right now or it would have been done already. I'm hating this OEM slushbox more every day and it may be the deciding factor in ditching the Solara within the next year if I don't get a swap.
