Have anyone tried, or heard about this product?
it changes the valve openiing on exhaust to controll the exhaust air flow.

A'PEX is proud to introduce the revolutionary DECS ECV controller!! Used in conjunction with the separately sold A'PEX ECV, the DECS ECV Controller instantly transforms any exhaust system into an electronic high tech variable sound system!! This unit was designed exclusively from customer feedback for people who demand convenient sound level adjustment from INSIDE the car. The DECS ECV has now integrated A'PEX electronic supremacy with A'PEX racing grade exhausts!

The ECV can operate in 3 modes:

MANUAL Mode
- Manually change the Valve position from 0~99% in 6 increments
- Ex:0~20%,0~40%,0~60%,0~80%
- 100% denotes fully open vavle

AUTO Mode
- Program 5% increment vavle opening on 5 preset points between 800~4000 RPM
- Simply change to AUTO mode and the ECV will move according to preset values

CITY Mode
- ECV valve position will stay under 40% when the vehicle is traveling UNDER 5000RPM
- Designed exclusively from customer feedback for night-time city and neighborhood driving situations

after installing catback, I love the sound a lot, however there are time that I wanted to have my car quiet (like giving someone a ride).
i am wondering if this would work or not...

or , are there any other product it may perform better than this?
any input will be welcomed.

That sounds really good to me. I think it would work, and sounds like something I would want to incorporate when I get around to doing the exhaust, as I am not happy with the idea of ending up with an exhaust that is too loud.
