custom eyelids

i am thinking about ordering some eyelids for my gen2 but its hard to find matching paint color, do you guys think i should just buy white ones and buy the paint and spray over? any suggestions?

I think vynil is not a good material to paint easily...I could be wrong on that one but it's my first impression.

(As you see...not even a joke on the purple rain color

anyways back to topic, im sure vinyl shouldnt be hard to paint on but i want to know what peoples suggestions are and if anyone has tried this before.

I'm not sure, but some people actuallly put paint over their vinyl.

If you want me to., PM me with ur address., and I'll send u some vinyl and why don't u try paint it over ?

kpx, I love the eyelids on your car! I wish my car was black soo badly, just so I could have those awesome eyelids just like yours!

IMO they'll never look good on silver, so woe is me. Oh well, I still have my carbon fiber (soon), wee!! :bday:

Once some person put the carbon fiber vinyl on their whole hooood., and did carbon fiber eyelid and loooked really nice.,

Hey kpxboi0619 I really like your smoked tailigths and your eyelids.
Did you bring your car to InStyleGraphics facilities or did you buy the furnitures from them and installed yourself ?? Do you think I can buy smoked layer (by the way, how many layers do you use to get yours done ??)
I will try to find someone around here who could do it on my '07 tailights !!

From a while back... I only had these on for two days before they started peeling off (they're the thick "3D" looking vinyl that I painted... ordered custom mixed spray paint that didn't match all too well)...

ugh...what is it with eyelids! Of all the things you can do to your car, this is the ugliest. You are just putting plastic stickers on your car that look awful.
