HID and daytime driving light

Postby Solara08861 » Sun Feb 25, 2007 9:17 pm

I just put HID on my high beams and now my daytime driving lights are not working. Does anyone with hid and high beams had this problem?

I also did low beams 8000k, high beams 8000k and fogs 3000k

Well, an HID works through a ballast that works off of a certain voltage, so if you have HID high beams, you can officially say goodbye to them.

what you can do is disable the DRL. i had HIDs on my corolla low beams. the low beams had DRL so i had to disable it in order for it to work. I had to ground the wire that connects to the emergency brakes. The brake light sign on my dash stayed on even when my brakes were off though.

it seem like put a hid on high beam is really uselss ..

if you are use the high beam to flash someone i believe the flashing will be less than 5 sec. The Hid bulb need 5 second to warmup . Everytime you flash someone less than 5 sec is going to reduce the hid bulb life
