Carbon Fiber Dash Kits?

Carbon Fiber Dash Kits?

Postby RDKamikaze » Tue Feb 06, 2007 6:44 am

Hey everyone, I'm curious about the carbon fiber (cf) dash kits for our gen2's. Has anyone gotten one, and if so, do you have any pics? I'm considering buying a kit, but I'm looking all over to find a good one. Anyone have any reccomendations on what brand to use or anything, thanks!

It has been posted a few times. It's just a decal that goes over your existing panels.

Please search first.

I'm guessing that you're not referring to the cf that came stock w/ the SE Sport.

Lol PXL you're funny!

NOT!

Just kidding, you're cool. Hey, do you think you could PS me what a cf kit would look like on my Soalra? I'm going to do it for sure, but I just need to see what it looks like first. This is to guage what kit I would want to get (piece-wise).

Well I did some research on how to do cf with PS so I played around with it a little. Here's my first finished product, a cf hood! I'll be taking pics of the dash and trying to cf some of it ('till be hard!), so wish me luck :)

To smart PS users: Why does my picture always show pretty dark, but when I look at the finished file online, it's brighter? How can I change that, it's annoying!

Hey - you're off to a good start! ;)

Look at your preview settings in PS - you can change the View>Proof Setup and modify to more closely match what your browser will view.

Thanks PXL! Also, I only have that version of cf to make, CS2 won't let me make any other types. When I try to make THIS type of CF, my program makes nothing similar to what it's supposed to look like to save the pattern. Why not? Also, if you have any patterns PXL, is there any way you could e-mail them to me so I can put them straight into my program, or not?

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out just now. It said SELECT the area first, lol! :drinking:

Ok, here's a dash I found on the net and tried to PS. Now remember, I really suck so it's gonna look bad!
