I use 2 tools from 1010tires.com

Wheel Offset Calculator
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
I use my current setup to compare with 18X8 +40 offset

Tire Size Calculator
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
To figure quickly what is the overall diameter and other measurement.

These are the tire size that fitting more the OEM setup and also have the best choice available.

225/45R18
225/40R19
225/35R20

It may help I think

when i had my 18x8 tsw's i bought 225/40/18 Kumho ASX tires.
for the price they were great. good grip, and pretty damn quiet. i had them on the whole summer and they showed little to no wear.
tires.com has them for around $95 per.

For smooth ride and quiet, I've found the Bridgestone Potenza series to be very good. They are NOT the cheapest, however... but neither are they the costliest...

I just got some of those TRD rims, and I will be getting the Goodyear Eagle RSA 235/45/18's. I will be purchasing from Discount Tire. Total of 4 and mount/balance/warranty will be about $800. My tire purchase won't be until February or so.

My wheels... so freaking sweet... but bad camera phone pic.

Yeah looking good !! Just sad that they dont do it in 19"

I have also 18X8 wheels looking like TRD ones. TRD wheels have a bit more style with the "split line" within the spokes.

Mine are Spyn SVS (Canadian brand I think)

Hey Crisp...I don't have bought the TRD rims it is CosmicGrooves.

On my side I was seeking 19" but none have the style I like...I think I will stay with my little 18" wheels !

My tires are almost all used at 90% (in 1 summer !!!) Yoko AVS ES100...I don't know if it is my way to drive or if the tire have a weak treadwear (I mean too sticky)...I think I will buy Toyo Proxes T1-R.

What are your thoughts on how quiet you'd like the tire to be and if you'd be willing to trade performance for it?

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direc ... MathNS.jsp here's an easy place to play and plug-in tire sizes... you can also look up facts on load info, speed ratings, and other useful facts to help you know what you are looking at when you buy a tire.

Why does everyone seem to have different stock tires? Do the dealers choose the tires? My stock tires are Bridgestone Turanzas (sp?). In any case, I have 24k miles and there's little wear on them...two years running. I'm no race driver, but no grampa either.

Manufacturers don't always run the same tires throughout production. They also vary tire model/make by model/trim designation coming off the line. Various factors can contribute to this... everything from NOT putting all their eggs in one basket, supplier speaking, to where they "divi-out" business to multiple manufacturers... you don't want to lose your purchasing groups power to competitavely leverage another supplier... you also don't want to be "crippled" in production by a plant fire or equipment failure from a supplier that limits your ability to maintain JIT (Just In Time) manufacturing protocol...

Anyway... YES! Tires may and DO vary with model, year, and even REGION or date of manufacture... even LINE or SHIFT, for that matter... It's ALL possible in the world of automotive manufacturing....
