Well some of you guys remember this thread...

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... ay&start=0

And I think PXLPainter may have pics of what it looked like when I bought it..... This grille was made as a prototype for the Gen 2 from the makers of the TRD Tundra Grilles......

Well I finally decided to drop it off at the shop since I am a little tired of the Billets on Posh's car........ I had offered Joseph (TurboSolara) the grille for renova to produce but he never hit me up for it either.

Here is what the grille looks like as of today....... And I am about to install it tonight before we go out....

Like the topic title says: "One of a kind" - nobody's making them.

I studied it and figured out how to tackle it, but it's a long, nasty job with tons of sanding ahead of me! (ACK!!) :x Basically - lots of glue, wood and bondo - and primer/sealer...

Might go a different route though... we'll see what I end up with this Spring. ;)

I can't imagine Toyota will be OK with the TRD logo on the grill.

But, yes, that does look to be an attractive grill.

I dont care if they are ok or not.... In the end that is why they sell the emblems seperate....

The makers of this grill are the same makers of the tundra grille but they are not the ones that added the emblem, I did.... So the hell with toyota and "what they think".

And thanks for the compliments guys.

I added in the "Toyota not digging it" comment solely in the context of any plans to produce this on a larger scale.

As before, I very much like the design.
