hey i just installed my injen intake on my solara now theres a check engine light thats on. i followed all the directions and i know that the vsv isn't used but what about the blue switch that was connected to the vsv is taht left unpluged? i checked all the hoses

help!!

which intake model # did u get ? do u have a v6 or 4 banger

alrite alrite i found out that it was a grounding in the process i added an extra ground wire and i guess it didn't like that and it gave off the CEL so i took it off and now its fine now..

That's our ECU for ya. Look at it wrong and it throws a code.

P1189 = "Driver dropped a frenchfry in the parking brake slot."

^^^ yea seriously all i add was another 8 gauge to this one point near the fuse box to complete my ground wire kit and i guess it didn't like me touching that spot.. but man the solara with the intake sounds almost alien like when accelerating past 3K and that tone of the v6 compared to my old 4 cyl 1.8L matrix is so diff.

hee hee yeah, I love that sound! It sounds so much better than the 4banger civics w/ intakes... :D
