Yeah, you can pair up to 4 keys to a car, but the standard (black) key is of your least loss, and I'm speaking from experience, since I've lost all trust for valets when I came back from a weekend trip a long time ago and found 6 more miles on my odometer... In a relatively small long-term parking lot. Sure, 1 1/2 mile or so on a 4 day trip if the cars need to be rotated, but I found my stereo's face plate in place instead of the glove box.
It was playing my Dr. Dre CD with the EQ and volume turned up (nothing like hearing Xxxplosive at maximum volume when you're tired and not focusing at 9 in the morning), compared to leaving it flat and tuned to the rock station with no CD and of course off without the faceplate (in addition to the fact that you've grown weary of the 2001 CD but too lazy to remove it). The seating, vents, and mirrors were shifted around, and worst of all, I had a few boxes in the trunk that were sealed, but found one almost open.
Then, it took them almost an hour for them to get from the terminals and deliver my car, even going as far as taking another customer first. If you're in the LA area, don't let the low price of Red Rabbit Parking fool you. They claim to have a self-parking lot, but I doubt if there is ever the ability to use it to facilitate them to rip you off.
Therefore, don't ditch your valet key; you'll probably get a joy-rider, or somebody that steals your sh!t from your glove box or trunk. If you must, lock everything inside the trunk and glove box.
