PEARL Vinyl eyelids-Gen 2 & 2.5 and solaraguy.org decals

Postby michaels artic frost » Wed Aug 02, 2006 7:49 am

Hello all,

PEARL Vinyl eyelids for Gen 2 and Gen 2.5 and solaraguy.org decals

I’ve recently came across a local sign shop that has premium grade vinyl in the color of pearl that matches the Gen 2 “Arctic Frost Pearl” color, it’s the best matched pearl that I have found for my car. I mention premium because the shop owner advised me that this is the top grade vinyl that is available in this pearl color.

I’m getting ready to have a few things made with this pearl vinyl and would like to know if anyone is interested. With that being said, I’d like to know if anyone is interested in getting some solaraguy.org decals for their cars.

Please copy and paste your name to the list below and specify how many decals you would like. Keep in mind that this is not WHITE, this is PEARL. I have never seen a PEARL that matches almost dead on our Arctic Frost Pearl.

I will ship this first class to save on shipping cost. I’m just going to offer a flat rate of $5.50 for 1 pair (Should cover for vinyl decal, paypal fees, and shipping.) If you require more than 1 pair, please specify.

Example: 1 pair $5.50 (includes 2 vinyl solaraguy.org decal in pearl) Please add $5.00 for additional pair. Below is the breakdown on the pricing from the shop owner.
$1.35 - Labor for 1 decal
$1.00 - vinyl for 1 Pearl decal
---------------------------------
$2.35 Total for 1 decal (1 pair is $4.70)

.80 cents remaining goes to paypal fees and shipping, totaling $5.50.

Font will be Serpentine Bold Italic, just like Phreakout’s (Brian’s decals)

I will get exact measurements of the decal size once I get an order started.

Eventually, I’m looking into making Pearl vinyl eyelids if anyone is interested, please let me know and I will keep you posted.

Vinyl eyelids will fit Gen 2 and Gen 2.5 That should cover all year range of 2004-2008 (once the 2008 model rolls out) I've checked and confirm that the headlight shape are the same for the Gen 2 and 2.5.

I will post pics of pearl eyelids later.

Thanks,
Michael 8)

Mike,

I think you should list out which color eyelids you have (that match the cars)... I imagine you're getting tons of PM about colors...

Thanks bro. Just so busy to find time to locate that thread. That's how the eyelids look for now. I'll try to come up with a few other style or if anyone has recommendations, please let me know.

Current colors for eyelids are:
1. Pearl
2. Black
3. Carbon fiber-like

The lunar mist and red are a bit tough to match, but I'm still looking.

Nice find bro, hope the owner doesn't mind you posting his pics on here. I've seen several custom colors now and they're lookin' really nice. If you want that shape, it can be done.

IMO i think a really thin eyelid would look nice and clean on our solaras instead of those thick ones that cover up the major part of our headlights

I think a mix of both style would be perfect for me...I'll try, with all my talent, do send you a pic Micheal...starting with your product just adding a touch.

There are 2 pics of what I find best of both worlds. (fat at the beginning and thin at the end, starting from the driver seat) Making more mad.

I'm still not sure...maybe starting to lean it a bit before what I did.

I think your original eyelid is better...but I would use a stright line instead to to a curve...then it would be perfect...I'll try to show you what I mean
