exhaust piping for TRD muffler

its just a quick question but does anyone know what the size of the exhaust piping is? i want to cut out the submuffler and change it to straight pipe to see if my trd exhaust will help with some extra HP and to get a better sound out of it. could i be able to just clamp it? will i need to weld?
