Run it thru the firewall [looks like a big rubber plug with wires in it] ...its directly behind your throttle body

The firewall is the entire separation between you / your dash and the engine bay... It should have pre-drilled ports with wires already running through it to the instruments and such. You can either tap through one of the rubber plugs, as Chris mentioned, or you can drill through and use a ring gromet to protect the cable... 16 Gauge wire is pretty tiny, so you shouldn't have any problems putting it through where the other pre-existing wires already travel through. Just trace out a few and see where they lead.

Yikes Alan. :o Are you joking?

Put down the socket wrench and back away. You're going to hurt someone.

OK I know it sounds a little peculiar, but firewalls are only available with cars that have carputers. You go to Start > Control Panel, then double-click Network Connections, right-click your active connection and hit "Properties", then in the "Advanced" tab, click Windows Firewall.

However, this is OEM protection of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) only. To get an aftermarket upgrade, buy ZoneAlarm Pro or run your carputer's data through a router.

Seriously though, a firewall is a "wall" between your engine and the passenger area that is usually of your car's steel chassis that limits the results of an engine explosion or fire to the engine bay.

Go to your local Fire Department and ask them if they have any extra firewall for you. 8)
