well, you could go extreme, and purchase the AEM Ultimate Engine Management. Pretty penny though.

Damn - I WISH there was an ECU solution! Doesn't seem to be CRAP for the 3.3 V6 yet!

That AEM unit would totally be worth the $$ if it would reprogram the Tranny as well! I'd trade more power for control over the "slush box" any day!

What year are you? 04's and some '05s have a TSB for a reflash.Late '05s and 06's are left to the lag for now. Can't wait to hear from the new '07 owners next fall.

CP-e gave us the top tune for our car and it added about 8 WHP. You need major exhaust work on her to get any real boost. (or forced aspiration of some sort... dream)

lol those last three posts are the best!

I went up into Rosedale Maryland a few weeks back to visit two shops:
One shop stated they could turbo the car for a flat 5K and front mounted intercooler. He thought it would be an interesting project and was excited to do it. He would've made custom parts to make sure everything 'fit'. Sounded good...
The other shop stated it could be done however he raised some important issues: He was worried about how to reprogram or otherwise calibrate the ECU on the Toyota. In addition to that, he was worried about the catalytic converters; Would the turbo-back exhaust kit meet VA emissions? He suggested I hold off until the warranty was just about out or I was 134% sure I wanted to do this. In addition to that, he didn't want to slap a turbo on the car and have me drive off the lot with a car that wouldn't idle right or otherwise perform very well at low RPMS.

Your thoughts?

If someone needed/wanted to reprogram the electronics in the car, where could they get the necesary software & information to successfully tune the vehicle?
