TRD Rear Sway Bar question *updated 5/23/2006*

Postby Somedude » Tue May 23, 2006 1:46 pm

Would the innermost setting on the TRD RSB make my car's handling too stiff?

I've got it on the middle setting right now, I just want to know if the car's handling will be too stiff for normal driving if I set it on the innermost hole.

please help
thanks :D

I don't own one but I'd like to think that yes it would make it stiffer. and the very first hole or lower down would make it loose. Don't take MY word for it though!

The inner most hoel is the stiffer settin'.
The outer hole is the stock settin'.

I test drove the car after I set the bar to the innermost hole, wow is all I can say. On really tight corners, there is hardly any body roll.

What does the RSB cost installed? If I do not change cars I am thinking of having it installed...

I did the install with the help of my dad. It is pretty easy and when you buy the RSB, it comes with an installation manual.

It will save you money if you installed it yourself.

I just placed an order for the RSB and TRD filter and realized I used my parents' credit card by mistake. Now I have to cancel that order and reorder using my debit. :x

I'm hoping to pick up an RSB this weekend... (keeping fingers crossed they have one in stock through my source!) - I'd like to install it on Saturday while my girlfriend is gone for the day so I can have the garage all to myself! ;)

Dude, you're gonna love it! I had no manual in the box and it wasn't rocket science. Pics in the tut section if you want to prep.

1K! whatever...

Mine was $158 out the door locally.

Inner-most setting and absolutely no noticable difference in ride - only corners like it's on rails now.

there is no Sway bars for the front but we do have the Front Strut Tower Bar.

~$180 from Reg.

Faulty install for $50

I suggest doing it yourself unless you got a dependable place. I regret wasting my $50 but it was a bitch just to redo itmyself cuz I had to put grease on the bushing and I wanted to switch from the middle to the innermost setting.

If you do it yourself, get a safe pry bar to get the rsb into position.

From experience the middle is much better than stock but the innermost is even more better than the middle. Really does track better in the rear but makes you think the front is sloppy.
