A little grille action anyone?

So my boss was generous enoug to give me 3 days off so I decided to make use of them by doing a little car customising. I have a few other things to do but the first I decided on was a black mesh grill. Well after 4 jigsaw blades from removing the old from the frame of the grille, wrestling with steel mesh ( in hind site aluminum is the better way to go) an glue for 4 hours I decided in order to finish it up I'd need bondo and a whole lot more time to complete it. Moral of the story... I just placed an order for the combo set of Mike T's upper and lower grille's. Just thought you all would get a kick out of it.

Hm... I was about to embark on the same thing (although I already have the Mike T black mesh grills)... customizing the OEM grill...

Just received my new dremel, hoping that would make it a bit simpler...

Any hints/tips, especially what not to do's?

As for tips, a drimel is good for polishing it up but a jigsaw is the best way to get the old grill out. Definetly go with aluminum if you want to do mesh, it's a lot more maliable then the steel. Don't worry about buying a certain color, you will want to paint it after removing the grill. Bondo, a car guys best friend. Other then that good luck.

PS: Mike, please hurry! :D
