Ok, I have a 2006 Solara SE with the 4 cyl........I have done alot of reading on this site, and I see that most people have the 6 cyl with the trd sport muffler. Does anyone have any thoughts on the sound of the trd sport muffler on a 4 banger? I really want the exhaust for the sound improvement, more than anything. Id like to have it where others can defininately hear my car, but not in a ricer way.

I have a 4 banger and trust me, it makes a huge difference with the TRD muffler, you won't regret it. I definitely say go for it.

I have the V6 with sport muffler, but I've heard it on the Gen 2 I4 as well and it sounds pretty sweet. It's not quite as deep as the 6, but it's definitely a MASSIVE improvement over stock... It's also incredible to see how restrictive the factory mufflers are in comparison to the straight-through design of the TRD muffler... and on the V6 I was actually to feel a difference using the TRD sport muffler and TRD air filter...

I talked to a toyota dealer today, and they informed me that the 06 solara uses a different stock muffler than the 04-05 model. then the parts guy told me that they attempted to put a trd muffler on a 06 solara for a customer and it does not fit. so he contacted trd and they said they had no data on whether the trd sport muffler would fit an 06 solara.

so right know im all confused, anyone know if this is true or false?

thanks
