Special Edition Solara?

Special Edition Solara?

Postby Gr8Dane » Wed Feb 01, 2006 7:11 pm

I've seen these SE Camry's around and I think they look sick, except for the four doors. I love the dark badges, wheels, and headlights. I have a 06 4cly Pearl White Solara, and I want those rims and badges. Is it possible to get those and put them on my car? Where do I get them? If so How do I change out the emblems? How do you guys think it will look?

Thanks,
Dane

you can find the emblems at http://www.brandsport.com/toy-pt577-0604a.html they should look great on your pearl white. i have them on my car and love the way they look.
to take off the emblems you have on, just heat them up with a blow dryer, take some dental floss or fishing line and pull it behind the emblem, should come off easy if its hot enough. if theres any tape left on your car just use some goo-gone or wd40 to remove it. shouldnt hurt your paint just remember to wash and wax that area before putting on your new emblems. it shouldnt take more than an hour or so. hope this helps. also theres a couple posts on this board about emblem removal if you'd like any more info on it. just do a search, should find something.

The black pearl emblems would look sick on a white car. The one on the grille just pops out, the ones on the rear would have to be heated with a heat gun and peeled off. Those emblems are maybe my favorite part my car, just subtle ebough. And what rims are you talking about?

The rims I'm looking for look exactly like the 17" on the Solara but they are a darker color grey, but I don't know what center caps are on them.

How do you think these wheels will look with the whole black pearl set up?

Or these in 17x7 and in Titanium Black also.

Is there any place I can get the factory Dark Grey 17" beside the stealership. I've never seen them on Ebay ither.

On a side note: Are there many peeps on here who have the TRD springs with the stock 17, and who would like to share some picks.

The 1st set look similar to what Micheals artic frost has on his car you should look at his profile and click threw to his car domain site to see the car ( also white) with that style of rim.

while your there you should look into his grill and get a black ( if he still does them in blk) one done for that whole blk on white set up your going after

geesh talk about a sales pitch

Okay I found a place that will switch rims with mine, 16" for the 17". but it's only the original 17" that come on the solara. I know a guy at a rim repair shop that can paint them any color, but is there a color code for the SE Camry wheels?

here is a pic of the wheels
