Confusion about Eibach Springs

Confusion about Eibach Springs

Postby Blazed04 » Mon Jan 24, 2005 12:01 pm

Ok, so I'm interested in picking up the Pro Kit springs by Eibach. Where my confusion comes into play is the amount of drop they provide. Some websites say they give a 1.4 Front and a 1.6 Rear drop, while others state that the drop is 1.2 Front and 1.4 Rear (like the TRD springs). I called the company on 2 occasions and both times got a different answer. (1.2 , 1.4 and 1.4 , 1.6) Soooooooo...if anyone on here has knowledge of the correct information I would be very appreciative!
Thanks in advance

I have confirmed this in the past and have just confirmed again, I was informed that Eibach's drop in the front was 1.4 and rear was 1.6.

Other websites may have 1.2 and 1.4, which is incorrect for Eibach pro kit springs.

The link below will confirm the correct drop.

i dont think one would be able to tell a .2 inch of a difference.

plus, you have to look at settling issue. being too low has its downs as well.

^^definitely. Plus with 20" wheels, less of a drop would be a safer way to go. Thanks Michael for your efforts in researching this! I dont think anyone on here has the Eibachs (on a gen2) to compare with the TRD springs, but I do like the way the TRD's make the car sit.

if my assumption is correct, TRD springs are just re-labeled Eibach springs.

unless TRD has gone to another company.

^^^You're absolutely correct!^^^

Eibach manufactures the TRD springs with different specs.

Blazed04,

You planning on dropping it with 20s? Just be careful bro. I rub in the rear when I'm 4 deep.

I'm looking at other alternatives...heehee

Mole- ya i knew about the Eibach/TRD relationship, when i meant "compare between the springs" i was talking about the difference in drop.
Mike- i hear ya about the rubbing. Except i never carry more than 1 passanger and dont really plan on it. but definitely thanks for lookin out! Oh...and about how ur looking into other means of suspension.. 8) ..i had an accord before this car which i put airbags on, loved it more than anything! Except when the weather got colder and snow started to fall i took them out (and sold them) because i didnt want any problems with the cylinders or lines freezing up. I dont even know if you plan on going this route, but i am just talking..lol :D
