New Parts.........RSB Question?

So for X-mas, the boyfriend got me a TRD rear sway bar, OEM mud guards, and Pioneer speakers for the rear deck (ain't he sweet?). The RSB was installed today, which was a royal pain in the a$$, but I must say I LOVE driving with it on there. My only complaint is, now the front end feels mushy, so I think I need a strut tower brace for the front. Anyone else have the rear only that can tell me thier experience with it?

My solara SLE is set up the same as yours, and i do find the front end to be a little loose in the turns. And lots of body roll and sidewall scrubbing.
I need to upgrade my springs and struts all around. I'm upgrading to the sport springs and struts thenit should handle just fine. I originally wanted just the TRD sb because the rear would skip out a little on exit ramps when i'd hit a bump. But i realized i was still not completely happy with the handling and ride of this car. I was however happy with the ride and handling of the sport solara when i test drove it but you cant option the sport out as muchas the SLE. I knew when i bought it id have to tweek it a little. I still want the body kit though. That and a supercharger and i'll be set.
BTW which setting did you set the bar on?

Cablemn- I put the bar on the middle setting. He said there would not be much point to put it on the street setting, because you can't tell much of a difference. I don't plan to change struts or springs, so the front strut brace will probably be the route I take.

TS04-Good luck with that!

He's the best, he has bought most of my mods for me!

getting the trd front brace is a waste of money because you have a brace there already.
the trd brace is designed to allow for a supercharger to be mounted infront of it. so unless you would just prefer the look of the trd brace dont bother changeing it.
the only other thing you can do is a tire change. upgrade to a lower profile tire with a stiffer sidewall.
you would feel more of a difference in ride and handling with that.

Well, using that logic, your car already had a RSB too but you upgraded it to the TRD RSB, so why wasn't that a waste of money?
The difference in rigidity between the stock front brace and the TRD one is like night and day. I disagree that the TRD front strut bar (brace) is a waste of money and I'm not alone. Read this thread for more info:

I know that everyone is going to have different opinions, and I expected a lot of you to disagree, truth be told, I plan to get the front strut brace and Pirellis in the future. One mod at a time. Really I just want as many opinions as I can get to figure out which order to buy them in. I plan on keeping this car for at least another 5.5 years, so plenty of time left.

Thanks for that link, very helpful. I did a search and came up with so many threads thbat were UNrelated.

Ahem...

My two cents...

If you take a look at my post on the difference between the stock FSTB and the TRD FSTB, you can see there is a wooooooorld of difference. Just as there is a world of difference between the stock and TRD RSB.

For only $150 and 10 minutes work installing the FSTB, it doesn't make sense not to get it after going through the pain of installing the RSB.

I first installed the FSTB, and noticed the back-end was very mushy. After I installed the RSB, everything was beautifully balanced (second setting). So I am guessing it will work in reverse (RSB, then FSTB.)

I am not sure how to link the installation pages, but do a member search for me. The posts are "Installed the RSB - What a difference - Cautionary Tale" and "Stock FSB versus TRD FSB - a real comparison"

C'mon Cablemn, the pics don't lie.
