carbon fiber lip kit for GEN 2 *interests*

wussup guys. I was just thinking last night, does Toyota make the Lip kit that comes with the sport model? If im not mistaken i knew a lot of people were lookin just for the lip kit but Toyota did not have a part # for that. IS it still not available? I have a friend that knows a custom Carbon Fiber place which can make it for us if there is enough interest (CF1 in S. Cal). So im just posting to see how many people are really interested. Its gonna be the exact replica of the OEM lip kit except in carbon fiber. Im not too sure about the pricing yet or if they are gonna make it but if i get enough interests then maybe they'll make it. i'll keep you guys updated and let you know whats going on.

I'm in, I have the v6 SLE coupe. I don't really wanna pay extra for carbon fiber though, I'd rather just have the plain lip kit. But if the price is right, I am definitely down.

I'll take the lip kit too (hopefully just the cheaper plain one) only if it doesn't look too much lower than the existing SLE sides. Does anyone know how much lower the SPort side pieces are than the SLE? Does the bottom of the front lip match the bottom of the sport sides?

I also realized right now that they can also make fiberclass replicas of the actual OEM lip kit. Maybe you guys are more interested in fiber glass than carbon fiber?

if they can do that why cant they make it out of abs plastic so its more durable. fiberglass cracks at the stress points too easily.

The lip kit makes the solara look sooooooooooo much sportier, I don't really care too much WHAT its made of. You could carve out a piece of wood and glue it on there if it looks sportier for all I care. Here's my pref: abs plastic > fiberglass > carbon fiber > wood. :wink:

I'm in if the cost is not too high, since I found out the side skirts won't fit with mud guards.

I think its about 1" lower on the sprort.

Im gonna have the lip kits custom made to looks exactly like the OEM one. Its not gonna be genuine "TRD" but hey, no one else makes them and all they need is the actual lip kit that comes on a sport model solara. once i get enough interests ima send him an email with this post and send my car in for fitments.

How will these lip kits be attached to the bottom of our bumpers?

i'm in if price is affortable, i don't care how it looks, as long as it's NOT too ugly. i need something to cover up my front button of bumper...
