I'm trying to decide whether or not I should go for the Luxury type look for my black solara or the sleek sporty look. Image Image If anyone has pictures of either types of rims on their Solara, please post to help me decide. Thanks.

Best of luck in your search.

All I can recommend is decide on what type of style that you want your ride to have. Like you said...classy or sporty? That's what you have to ask yourself, then you can decide with the rim options.

Trust me, I know exactly what you're going through. It took me two months to find the right rims and style. The rest is history....as you can tell, I'm very pleased with the current results.

Good luck!
-Michael

btw, what size wheels?

This is what I did to get an idea of what various wheels would look like on the '04 Solara.

I preferably like to have 18's, the luxury style is going to cost more and money is a little issue for me right now. I like both styles but it is so hard to choose. The only thing I do have is time. In New England. there is only a 7 month span I can have rims on it that aren't stock. ( I hate the snow) I'm just looking for ideas now. What size do you have Mike? Please post pictures everyone.

She asked Mike what size his wheels are, not DocJohn. Mike's wheels are 20".

I know what youre going through....it took me about 8 months to decide on a set of wheels. If you cant decide between sporty or luxury, you can always get a mix of both, which is what I did. I have 20" silver gianelles. I can get you pics by the end of the week.

Slingshot, I can see how you got the assumption that I was a girl. I'm not. Don't worry about it. I really like the 18'' Konig Trouble. I wish I had the money for 20's like mike does... That son of a....... Just kidding mike. lol. Shoe, those pictures are crazy lookin'. How did you do that? You must have a lot of time on your hands. I'm pushing towards the sporty look. Feel free to disagree.

Since you brought it up, does anyone know how much the stock wheel and tire assembly weighs for the 04 solara?

I was thinking about upgrading my brakes too, but theres no point if the weights are about the same.
