I received Dude's CP-e yesterday and had it installed by the afternoon. The wiring of the supplied little black box was a pain due to little working space behind the glove box but still only took a half hour or so. After initial start up the idle was a little high about 1200. I let it run for two minutes while I checked over all the connections. I shut it off and restarted.
WOW!!!! :o
The idle then went back to its usual 700-800 rpm and the sound was amazing! The JP exhast really has a deeper tone and revving is much quicker.

Took the car out on the interstate and I can't believe how the difference in piping allows the car to pull so much harder. Having had the injen on first I can easily say it isn't sh!t compared to the CP-e! I'm still waiting on the URD equip so I think I'll go get a dyno done before I start to tune.

Just wanted to put up some pics of the URD units:

I plan on putting these in after I get the CP-e box dynoed by itself.

Thanks again, keep us posted

Got a couple clips of the in cabin sound. This set-up is just the CP-e and JPP. The URD MAF and o2 sim still need to be installed.

I headed back to the dyno today to see if the CP-e with the non-tuneable box made the changes I thought my A$$ had felt. Hate to say it but my butt-dyno is completely f'in broken :(

My Max torque dropped to 165.8 w/WCF with a very jagged line. HP was just as crappy with 167.1 w/WCF. I did however make the right move and had a sensor bung installed and got my A/F ratio readings.

AFR looked like a mountain range dropping to about 13.0 upon initial stress @ 4530 RPM, rising to ~13.4 @ 4750, then progressively fell to 11.6 @ 5556 with a few jagged spikes here and there never to rise past 12.4. Sorry for the lame explaination but I'll post the graph once I get it via email.

Current: Prev:
167.1 hp @ 5894 rpm v. 186.8 @ 5692
165.8 torque @ 4502 rpm v. 192.1 @ 4408

Now I know I have to get that URD MAFSC installed and tuned correctly. Crappy day but I know what direction to head in....tune then nos :evilbat:

Did you get the JPP headers already?

No way that stock exhaust with CP-e will DROP in torque/HP! :o

With the headers, however, it will. Getting a good tune with the whole setup should get you closer to 200hp.

Best of luck,

Yeah, I don't doubt that the stock exhaust with the CP-e and un-tunable box would lose either, but I'm running the headers/y-pipe and trd exhaust.
I dynoed the JPP with my injen intake a little over a month ago with these results:
Max Power:
184.6 @ 5692 RPM / 86.3 MPH
with WCF = 186.8 hp

Max Torque:
189.8 @ 4408 RPM / 63.4 MPH
with WCF = 192.1 ft/lbs

Switching to the CP-e using the black box included with the intake is what caused the loss in power with the JPP. The box was mapped for stock exhaust. Since I got 186.8 with the injen/jpp untuned, 200whp shouldn't be that hard to get to with the CP-e/JPP and URD tuned.

Today I mounted the URD MAF sensor calibrator in the gloved box and soldered it in. When I hooked the battery back up The car revved to 1500 and died. The map on the urd was for a stock intake and exhaust so I expected trouble but not total failure. Thinking of a solution to make the car driveable I figured the injen intake was as close to stock that I had so I replaced the CP-e with it. After the switch no problems. When I go to get the box tuned I'll throw the CP-e back on.

Jeff- did you ever get dynoed with the whole set up?

Here's some pics of the URD install today:

I also installed the O2 sim and after an hour of driving no CEL :D

No - Split Second didn't dyno after final tune - they just wanted to get it stabilized without throwing CELs...

Last dyno they did showed me around 195 or so but it was way too lean and stalling. Major CEL issues and they replaced the O2 sensors and re-tuned for about 2 days. That was over 6 months ago and no issues since, but didn't get a final official Dyno.

They took off the CPe box altogether to put theirs on - otherwise they fight each other. Not wise to run two MAF boxes on the same system FWIW.

I don't care anymore. Since we're stuck with the fukking auto-tranny slushbox, more power will just create more issues, so I'm satisfied as it is now. I just need to get some COs and tighten up things a bit and call it done for performance. Purely cosmetic from that point forward. ;)

Jeff, I know you're not one to "talk-it-up" a bunch (like I would, HA!) but I'm pretty sure you have experienced a pretty substantial gain with all your mods. Are you fairly impressed with the overall gains at this juncture? (with consideration for the box-o-rocks tranny, of course!)

Yes. Tranny is the weak link in the whole setup, no doubt.

Also, might be my current strut/tire combo, but I'm getting some nasty wheel hopping at take off, and that's with Trac Control on. If I really get into it, I get scratch and 2nd/3rd torque steer issues (keep your hand gripped on the wheel!) ;)

It's about as much power as I'd want with this setup. If it was RWD with a manual tranny, then pushing it to 350-400hp wouldn't be an issue.
