KVR Performance Rotors & Stoptech lines

Postby Solara08861 » Tue Mar 20, 2007 6:35 pm

These are going to be my second set of KVR rotors. The first ones went on my Sebring and I had no problems with them.

As I was writting this Stotech called me and they are connecting me to their Jersey distributor and one of their top brake lines installer. He is going to look at the problemand try to installed them and to see whats the issue.
All I need is now is to paint the calipers. I can't paint for sh!t. I have to find someone to do it for me.

how does that feel on stopping distance?
do you feel any difference?

so, you had problem with your rear hose?
my installer claimed that he had problem with both front and rear..
let me know how it goes, since i'm still waiting for the stoptech to get back with me.
i talk with the guys where i bought the line, and they are still talking with they guys at stoptech. (should have bought directly from stoptech....)

anyways.. keep us updated!!

I feel a difference in stopping and my breaks were not really bad. This morning coming to work I had to get used to breaking again. It so sensitive now. Just tapping it u could noticed it.

The front line fitted perfect the rear we still have an issue. I have to call the tech dept. when I'm getting them re installed.

The tech name in Matt, real cool guy

The pics were actually when they were being installed. The plating did not come out as black as I though.

Does it look more black (than your pic) in person? As it is, it looks more like the second (gold?) than the third... and the cross-drilled holes are in a different pattern?

Not that it matters much, but seems like the company could do a better job in picturing what you're actually buying...

Is this an issue with ALL the rear brake lines they produce or just sent you the wrong lines in your kit?

I'm supposed to attempt to install mine this weekend, but if there's a known issue, I may wait.

Thanks for keeping us posted on the issue!!

It's like a blackish gold. The pic is of the rear rotor whish is smaller than the front. The fron have an identical patter ans the pic.

I guess I just got lucky with my lines. I installed them about 10-11 days ago. Everything fit fine and it took like 30 or so minutes to install.

hm.. so..
I couldnt get either front or back installed,
Solara08861 could get only front but not back,
and rohand could get both of them installed..

wondering if it is just the installer needs to know something special instruction about it..

anyways, I just called Matt at stoptech. unfortunately he was at meeting, but I am very pleased with the guy who answered the call.
Matt suppose to give me a call soon.

can't wait to get it done installed!!

So far I'm impressed with Stoptech customer service. I'm going to try another shop to see if they could install the rear.

They looked black in the box

^^

It seems like the rear rotors even in the "front tire" pic. Must be the angle, but I'm couting 3 holes in each stripes like the rear rotors has instead of the 5 holes by stripe for the front rotor but I must be wrong...it's your car afterall :P you know it better than I do ! ;)
