Talk about aftermarket Toyota Solara Gen 2 and 2.5 upgrades.

would you rock this wing, how do you think it looks considering it was only put on as a joke

Wow that actually looks pretty good, I would have the balls to rock it

I agree it looks good, and would still rock it, but i'de need to look at it closer and maybe do some fitting modifications (height, length)

It's not age, it's taste. That style of wing ain't for the young, it's for the Honda owner. So go buy one. (with your $.02)

And yeah, the only aerodynamic use would be for HIGH speed cornering on a front wheel drive. If it ain't on a track, then it's just ricers being ricey. So for us, the Solara is not lacking in downforce in the rear. She's a big bottom girl. 8)

Hmmm....
Recent health checkup: A-OK; no terminal illnesses
Age: 21 out of 80 or more years.

So... Keep in mind that I'm young and in good health, so "old and soon to be dead" isn't the case here... We just have what you don't... A rice-o-meter. When you appreciate semi-luxury cars more, you'll know what it is.

So far, I just dusted this off and pulled this out of the garage from when I was a n00b to picking out a ricer from the crowd, but I must use it again to prove my point:

I like Gen2 butts and I cannot lie.
You SG brothas can't deny
when that ride rolls in third or fourth place
but with a round thing in your face

You get springs, wanna scratch dat itch
Cuz you told Milt to drop that bitch

Lexus lines she’s wearin'
I'm hooked and I can't stop starin'

Oh, baby I wanna get with ya
And take your picture

My homeboys tried to warn me
But that Gen 2 ass make me so horney

Ooh, rump of smooth steel
You makin all the ladies squeal

You’re a nicer enticer cuz you aint that average ricer

etc... :P (or perhaps Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls" would be more like it.)

Even on the Lamborghini Diablo the spoiler was optional. The purpose of a functional spoiler is to provide additional downforce to the drive wheels, i.e. rear spoiler would provide downforce to rear wheels at high speeds. The spoilers they put on the cars any poster on this forum could afford is strictly for aesthetic purposes. There are very few cars that I can think of that functionally need a spoiler, only ones that come to mind are the McLaren F1 and Bugatti Veyron.

lol you guys are funny.

nah i aint bustin on the solara i like the car alot, although the coupe is 100x better and im tryin to convince my pops to get the RSB and some TRD springs to keep it OEM and make it better.

anyway here is another shot. i just was surpised that the wing actualy lined up with the car. personally wouldnt leave it on either, it obviously isnt that type of car. here is my car wingless too.

^^^ Those look SHARP without a wing.... IMHO, that is a MUCH better style... just accetuate it without a wing... could look VERY COOL.

(Of course, now it's just an overpriced CIVIC SI from YESTERYEAR!!!)
