ok, thats like 3 questions in one.

First off, there is such a thing as bi-xenon. That means that one bulb performs both high and low beam functions. This is done by a solenoid that opens and closes to produce a high and low beam all from the same bulb. Im no expert on these so check hidplanet for details. I think TLs have bi-xenons and these can be purchased "aftermarket".

We dont use bi-xenons. We have seperate bulbs for high and low beams.

As far as kelvin ratings go, the higher the number, the bluer-purpler you get. OEM stock hids that come on Audis and BMWs etc are all around 4200K. This is the highest lumins possible and it appears yellowish, but not as yellow as halogens. The blue color you see comes from the cutoff band as the light refracts over the shield. Anything above the stock 4200K rating comes out white (5000K) to blue (8000K) to purple at about 12000K. The higher the kelvin, the less light you get.

FYI-The 2006 TSXs dont have as much "blue" in their cutoff as the 2005s do.

I think Nefarious isn't Gen 2...

Gen1/1.5 do have the same bulbs for highs/lows... right?

If I'm correct, and I think I am, they do sell the duals... check out krawzyazn's HID selling thread... he has prices for them.

I have a gen1 and you're right. The only thing about bi's is that their super expensive so on mine it's just single beam... oh well, it's bright enough and I've got my yellow fogs =)

As far as Bi-Xenons go, theres a solenoid that essentially flips the cutoff sheild (might be a different component but im pretty sure...) 180 degrees so that instead of shielding the top half of the lense, it's sheilding the bottom half and letting the light escape from a higher projected beam.

Cheers
