Well we went outside the box. I called my mechanic and he asked if I wanted to try "Super Taylor Lube". It is for freezer bearings and seals. Figured what the heck, it was easy to do on his lift. The old lube had failed bad turning very sticky. He cleaned it off everything and lubed with the Taylor lube. Problem solved, again, and hopefully not temporarilly.

The squeaks are gone again but the RSB bushings are starting to get on my nerves. If telfon impregnated bushings are available you can definitely count me in.

Sounds like you've found a solution.

If you want to try something I've had over 5 years of success with on polyurethane bushings, here you go-

Formula 5 Prelube
Used it once and NEVER had to relube.

Good luck

You know, mine just started squeeking the other day too. I think it has to do with the severe cold. I've only had the bar for 6 months so the lube shouldn't have warn out yet.

anyone can second the efficiency of polyurethane and/or teflon bushings? My RSB is on the way here, but if the bushings it comes with are good enough and the two mentioned bushings don't really help THAT much (meaning I can just find one real good lube instead) then it'd be a luxury that I could live without.

Anyone have anything to update?
