ooh ok from the diagram these are supposed to go to one headlight socket

but I think they put the wrong prongs on those too big you need to trim them

Image

as for the extra harness connected to the bulb you dont need those since you connected direct to the ballast

Ok, so you pretty much have it hooked up as that diagram is with the exception of the OEM headlight plug. This is where you are suposed to use the second wireharness that is attached to the bulb, you put the plug end into the factory headlight plug, and somehow, you need to attach the leads to the leads comming off of the relay. Unfortunatly it looks like you have nothing but male connectors which is why i think whoever made the harness attached the wrong leads to it. The simple way to fix this is to get two short peices of wire. and attach a female spade connector to each end (4 connectors in total) and then connect the wires up, this way you don't need to cut any wires. I hope this helps.

In theory, that can work too. Using the relay makes things a bit more safe as your not drawing all your power through the factory wiring that was not designed for HIDS. I have my ballests hooked directly to the factory harness in my car, but that is because i know that my ballests don't draw enough to damage the wiring. Also, if you do that, you need to make sure you hook up the positive and negative prongs inside the ballests properly because if you have it backwards, you can damage the ballests. The best, and safest, way to do this is to do the method i described earlier.

Try this on for size.

This is how it is suposed to be hooked up according to that piece of paper. The problem is attaching those two wires that are indicated in the yellow arrows. Since you only have male leads, you need to adapt some way to put them together.

Thanks man, ill try it out tomorrow since its pitch black outside right now. I think ill solder the two metal ends together for a solid connection then wrap it. may i ask how and where the ballasts are attached to your gen2?

Ill let you know how it goes.

I just zip tied them to the frame in a spot that won't get too much water on it.

Well, that does seem to definatly be a problem. At this point, i think you need to take it up with RDK as it seems as though your kit was assembled incorrectly as far as the plug ends go.

nevermind, i just decided to horse around with the plugs and eventually got to one setup that just so happens to be exactly how kwazyazn described it. i pretty much had to tear off half of that large prong to insert it into the oem headlight socket. now i just gotta tape it all up to make damn sure it doesnt come apart.

Yeah, see the only issue with that (and the reason i tried to stay away from it) is that modding the kit voids the warentee.

werent these supposed to be TechOne HIDs? if so i think that is weird because my HIDs (which are TechOnes) dont look anything like that, and the setup is also nothing like that as well.
