Good fix, although would have looked better if you had a better leather match.

No leather in my interior =none to match...it blends in well, but would be better if the shift know was a grey similar to the console :)

Your shift knob is grey leather, and you used black below it. it doesn't match. That is what I was talking about. In general, the black is too dark for your interior. Try to find one in grey.

It looks cool, but if you have a 4cylinder, why didn't you just buy a manual to begin with?

Very nice solution! Anyone looking in your car will think you have the only stick shift Solara V-6 on the planet!

How about posting a 'how to' along with parts needed and maybe pictures for those who'd like to pop the automatic gate out of the console and replace it with a 'stick shift'

Cheers,

Wow! You know, that looks really good! I always just "shift" by feel anyway and never look at the plastic thing anyway.

And really, the black leather doesn't look bad either IMO.

well my intent wasnt to pretend that I had a 5 speed, if you read my previous posts you'll understand why I got the boot.

My shift knob is beige to match my interior, not grey.

The actual install was very simple, i did it about two minutes at work, ill put up some directions later :)

I bet it looks better than the broken plastic piece.

I think it looks pretty sharp. I can't really tell if it matches or not from the pic but, it looks clean.

Tutorial please! This has been agin' on me, and I'm starting to feel for it, a lot! Are there any boots that wouls match my grey interior well? I'm thinking on the black boot, but it's just too...black. I don't know, maybe it will look good, maybe not.

It looks good with beige, though! Good job!

P.S. Where did you buy the boot? Direct from Honda, junk yard, online, etc? And what year Accord is that?

Guaranteed you won't find it cheaper from any other dealer :)

I've been real busy lately, I'll try to pull my console and take some pics this evening
