^^^

Yeah pretty funny

I write also to JIC magic since they've made a kit for 97-02 Camry/Solara (if it really means something hahaha)

I'm starting to get really depressed ! ;)

I'm really frustrated...one solution would be to get other springs...but the pogo feeling will be even bigger then the TRD (I live near the most bumpy road in the world...I know what I'm talking about !! ;) )

I just miss something around 0.5" to add to the 1.3" (average) TRD springs drop to get the drop I wish. But as I see with Tacti...the 225/35R20 tire just fill the hole perfectly.

225/35R20 is 0.1 inch bigger then 225/40R19
225/40R19 is 0.1 inch bigger then 225/45R18

So I'm 0.2" less then Tacti...but those millilmeters just make the difference !!

Any other wise suggestion ?? (as Jeff just did earlier...) :P

Maybe I will have more luck with the JIC magic product.

They offer a FLT-A2-VIP Series (0.5"-3.5" drop)
http://www.jic-magic.com/ViewProduct1.aspx?ProductID=34
but doesn't list the Solara 04+ since it'S for luxury cars...I think it is what Solara is (without the 75000$ sticker). Do you know guys know any Lexus listed sharing the Solara platform ?? I think not cuz we are sharing the MCV31L platform...but who knows

GS300/400 93-97 JZS147
GS300/400 98-05 JZS161
GS350/430 06-07 GRS190
LS400/430 91-00 UCF10/20
LS400/430 01-06 UCF30/31

They offer also FLTA2-RS Custom Set Up (Seems to be for race purpose...)
http://www.jic-magic.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=2

I'm maybe not without any solution...I'll see :)

how about getting BAGGED like Mike T?
he can raise his car to the stock height or drop dead to the ground... ^^;

i don't know if it's worth doing that just for snow, but for show, it may be for you!!

Yeah, thanks for the willing ! ;) I think that a baggin system must be really really expensive and must be too much modification to do !

I stick with the idea of getting coilovers, JIC seems that they could work but they are a bit expensive (around 2200US$). but if they can do what I want them to do and do it nicely...I'll show the money...if nothing is available to do what I want...I'll stay with my TRD springs...

Cheap car/truck are a money blackhole in my own opinion. Sure the initial low cost is interesting...but it's hiding so many other fees and interrogation, including the rent of a GOOD stocking place to keep my Solara out of the humidity, other tires set, other insurances and you don't know when any part will let you down. If I had a mega Supra or something like it...I would consider to have a winter beater. Since I'm not too fortunate ($$$) I'm trying to take the way of simpicity...

What is it that you want them to do? What functionality is going to win you over?

I will tell you right now that the JICs are much stiffer than the Teins... if you want a ride that is closer to stock then get the Teins.

I think it is Height he is looking for the winter, and being lowered for summer.

The last post of page 1 is the e-mail I got from TEIN USA about the use of the SS C/O on Solara. Yeah, since the specs said so (2 to 3 inches drop only), the guy will not tell the opposite ( that they work between 0-2 inches drop). But it makes sense, if the C/O are not design to be set to something over 2"...but JIC are design to do 0.5" drop to 3.5". Cklinh testemonial on Tein SS C/O just put up a flag to be aware. The best would be to test-drive it, but I think I will not find anyone here with this setup on a Gen 2 Solara (first I have to find an other Gen 2 Solara HAHAHAHA )

Thanks for your comment ! :)

Thanks for this precious feed-back !
It makes sense since the spring should be very tight if the "height adjustment ring" is up

The JIC's have damper control, maybe it's something that has to be adjusted???
