Fswb, rswb, or stb first?

I also hope to get the RSB someday, but do we also need to get the FSTB to balance it? Will it be okay with the RSB alone?

well, the FTSB would give you the complete package, but you don't HAVE to have one. it's not like you need one for the other to do what it's meant to do

I ordered the rear sway bar today; thanks guys for your input! I can't wait for it to show up. When it gets here, I will be installing the rear mud guards as well (threw the fronts on the other night, but didn't realize I'd have to drill for the back ones). Now I just have to decide which is next, the front sway bar or the strut tower bar... tax returns will be here soon so something's getting ordered!
When I have the car on the lift, though, I am going to look closely at the front sway bar setup, particularly the links. If the bar looks beefy enough, stronger links with performance bushings might be enough to make it work better. I'm friends with an excellent machinist who is eager for work (an old Hungarian who worked on some of the Appollo projects), so there is a possibility of a new upgrade here. If I try this route, I will definately keep everyone posted regarding the results.

What's the difference between a FTSB and a FSB?

Sorry for the stupid question, but I really don't know.

nothing stupid

FTSB stands for Front Tower Strut Bar (positioned on the suspension tower)
FSB stands for Front Sway Bar (positioned low )

BTW MCOjerry where is your dancing pal avatar ?

Strut bars-
reduces chassis flex and maintains vehicle integrity by not allowing extra twist and leans. (chassis twist not as noticeable in our Lara's as is in muscle cars)

Sway bar- used to stabilize the chassis against sway or lean. car tends to stay flatter in a turn holding momentum center vice leaning outwards pushing momentum outward in the turn.

Thank you, I did want to know the difference :D So, they seem to do similar things (based on your description). Which is better? Maybe I'm not understanding well enough.

and, just for you Sebastian! Image

I believe that the rsb is the best & obviously one of the greatest mods out for both the coupe & convertible Lara's to reduce "roll." A convertible Lara would benefit more from the FSTB due to the fact that it has less structural integrity than the coupes have. Imports such as the TT Supra along with muscle cars like the Mustang which have so much torque also benefit from FSTB to keep the body from flexing due to the high torque.

Sway bar was delivered today, so it will be going in either tomorrow night or Saturday. I was surprised to see it only came with bushings and not links as well. One question: for those of you who have set this on different settings, have you noticed a difference in ride quality between them, or just in handling? I am trying to decide between the middle or the inner setting... I might try them each for a week though.

Definitely go with the stiffest which is the inner one i think. The other ones will feel just like stock.

There is no front sway bar for our cars... only the front strut tower brace (or whatever it's called)...

go with the stiffest setting
i didn't notice much change in my ride quality, its mostly when i go over speed bumps
even railroad tracks it feels same as stock but handles much better
