1 of a kind Prototype grille......

Postby PXLpainter » Sun Jan 07, 2007 11:18 am

Toyota wouldn't have problems with mass-production with the logo, but TRD would if they weren't the manufacturer/licensor of the end product. ;)

Besides - wasn't the prototype actually FROM TRD's R&D?

I had the TRD grille on my Tundra - modified it a bit though...

I'd buy one.

According to what we were told when we picked it up... yes it was R&Ded (and made) by the same company that makes the TRD grilles for the Tacoma/Tundras...

I really like how this grill looks installed (pics coming soon I promise) but I still feel like something is missing in the bottom area (Milt says it looks great with nothing down there...) So I need to think about how to fix that gaping hole where my lower billet grill used to reside... (I guess I don't like seeing the "guts" of my car through that big hole...LOL)

Thank you honey for coming up with the paint scheme and taking it to get done! Image

OK, commenting how great it looks on the car without pics is downright rude! How could you not share with us? (J/K)

The grill looks good (laying on the table.) Posh, please ask Mr. Caveman to take some pics and post them up. LOL :P

I doubt it... I think it would be pretty hard to prove that whatever company decided to mass produce them didn't do their own R&D... besides what would be the difference between that and all of the "fake" brand name parts floating around?
