$500+ for maybe $30 worth of materials still cracks me up though.

the trd exhaust was pricey too but you do get quality that is unmatched at ANY price. the cp-e intake is pricey as well, but from it's specs/perfomance and testimonials it also is unmatched. from reputable companies and suppliers, you usually get close to what you pay for. sometimes you get a little more, sometimes a little less. but you cant compare compare $30 to $500, unless the products are rip-offs or from shady companies/suppliers (like the tein knockoffs that someone here provided info on) and that is not the case here, unless you can explain otherwise. the trenz grills seem to be well made with tested and tried materials and methods. for the solara, they are basically custom made-to-fit one-offs. a custom-look that is well done using first rate materials and workmanship always costs $$$.

Thanks, greatly appreciated.

Sorry we have some disagreements here. :agrue:

As for $30 material, sorry, but you are off here. I am responsible for product costs at my job, and am quite familiar with raw material costs...metals indexes are thru the roof. As a billet item, it starts life as a solid piece so all the drop off is counted into the cost. Also, these are not stamped, mass produced items...Enough explaining.

Point is, after a lot of researching, I personally thought they were a good deal for the quality, etc., and thought others might be interested....if not interested, can't afford, too pricey, not a deal...then so be it! :P The beauty is that you don't have to buy it, but can if you want...life is great that way, isn't it !!!!!

I know I'll enjoy my grilles and hope others enjoy theirs too. :) :D

I currently have Mike's and plan on keeping them and swapping out with the Trenz.

Mike makes really nice stuff, and I think the price is reasonable considering what it involves and all he did to put them together. Have had a lot of compliments on the look on my car. Absolutely no complaints from me!!!!!

Mike has done a good job but it basically looks like gutter guard. This is one of the few billet grills out there that actually looks good on the car. It's pricey but what isn't? If you've dropped 8-10k in aftermarket on your car (like I have on both the Solara and Camry) another $500 is a drop in the bucket. Jon.

gutter guard? yikes. well i did order black as i prefer a more subtle look. maybe one day i will be able to scrounge enough for some 18" or 19" wheels in black to match.

yeah I like billet grilles. Think of it this one.

With most aftermarket grills all it takes is one kick to dent the mesh and unlatch the hood. You gen 2'ners wouldn't want your precious trd air filter to get stolen would you?

Not the best deal.. but the trenz do look nice, and your right about the cash, thats why you dont see too many tight solaras, most of the drivers are cheap to spend money on their rides, they always buy cheap stuff from swapmeets lol

I've gotten nothing but praises from anyone seeing my "Mike's grilles". Gutter guard my face. It looks even better in black. Check out my pics and judge for yourself.

Thanks, I appreciate it. If you look at other posting (TRENZ GROUP BUY) you will see my point that I haven't gotten across very well...even w/shipping, the price is lower than others on the net (at least anyone I could find). So even at that, it's a better deal (by about $30 per set). But then you add in that the shipping is issued back to you as a credit, which means you purchase more items for less than if you bought just the grilles from somewhere else. The only way this deal would be better is if it was free shipping instead of credit....

I like the way these grilles look. the only thing I wish you could do would be to leave the Toyota emblem on.

I know most of you guys want to take yours off (I don't know why), but I like the way it looks...

I think these would look nice up against my silver...of course, I don't mind the stock grill...I just don't know why Toyota left the big GAPING hole on the lower part of the bumper. Why didn't they put a matching grill there? I would look so much cleaner.
