Well, if anybody is willing to measure the intake port (the part where all the ridged plastic ends and goes into the engine, that'll be great... Since intakes usually go in 1/4" increments of diameter, it's not that hard to retrofit it.
Besides PXL, sadly, the Toyota [Camry] Solara WAS originally inteded for the middle-aged empty nested demographics, but I accepted that fact and moved on and even joke about it once in a while (e.g. HAHA you got smoked by a grandma's car!).
However, demographics are just a bunch of bullshit since 7 out of 10 Avalons that I've seen so far are driven by younger people with dubs and subs, while Toyota said it was designed to be intuitive for the elderly (hence the larger control buttons if you've been in one).
However in the case of intakes, most manufacturers would lean towards the cars that have a larger performance-hungry demographic (including ricers who think their car would FLY with a few stickers), even if it's a lousy 80-something HP Honda Civic. As a result, there isn't much things you can trick out a Solara engine with; sometimes things would have to be retrofitted or custom made.
As a Californian, I've noticed many things that have CARB certifications, but it's not in big, bold letters either; you can probably get away with saying "it's carved somewhere on the bottom" or something when you're getting a smog check...
I mean, I don't think that intake kits would DRASTICALLY affect the smog rating; it's just a more direct and straightforward way for air to go into the engine (metallic tube with large filter vs. ridged plastic with an average filter), unless there's more to it, such as EGR valves and stuff. However, this is strictly opinion and educated guess since I've never owned a car that needed a smog check just yet.
