If someone is willing to take on this project, I would love to buy a set. I still cannot believe that guy would not cut us a deal, even after I linked him here showing mass interest, oh well, his loss!

Have you all seen this one for the Camry? I really like this one. Unfortunately, it's $70.00 plus $30.00 shipping from Hong Kong, but that's for 4 pieces. With some blue lighting, it would be soooo nice! If someone has time (I'm too busy right now), maybe we should see if they have/can get some for the Solara. Maybe get a group buy going, since it looks like the other one was from a dealer.

Yeah now this is a product that is worth paying $70 bucks for. I'm in for this group buy. The other door sill was a joke at $80 for a sticker.

There is no way I would go in on that group buy, read the seller's feedbacks. They take about 2 months to ship, and a lot of items either do not fit or come with crappy instructions. I am hoping one of our very own from the forum will make some instead.

^So true. That one looks so much better. But, the fact he's in Hong Kong is a bit scary. It'd be cool to take that design (to someone on this forum-hehe) and see what he could do.

Is it the same as the ebay auction? Anyone care to find out about a group buy?

I have to go to Home Depot sometime this week to pick up some things for the new house, and I am going to look around for materials that I can possibly use. I have never tried metal work before, so it would have to be pre-cut. Guess we will see.

I agree 100%. If someone offered them for that price, I think many, many of us here would buy them up.

Looks very nice and I've been working on some very similiar to those, however the material is the problem. Mine were chrome. I'm looking into aluminum and stainless steel also.

The only problem you run into trying to make these and selling them is using the Solara logo. I would probably recommend you get the stickers yourself or just use the 'Solaraguy.com' logo. That's why you should just make them yourself.

DaveD - Guest posted the DIY and it's very nice.

Thanks Michael for adding the pic.

Stainless steel is definitely the way to go with these if possible even though DaveD got a very nice result with aluminum. Aluminum is too easily scratched, dented, etc. and is actually harder to polish or finish.
