I have seen SLE's mostly with the pinstripes. Any dealer can apply these if you ask for them. It is not a Toyo option per se. I used to apply pin and body stripes at the local MG/BL/Fiat/Lancia/Alfa/Jag dealer I worked at when I was a pup. It's pretty easy. Just remember to use a wax remover before, and wax after.

You're not referring to this are you?

My car did not come with those added acessories either. Kinda glad because I hate pinstripes(sorry Mtodde) That would have been one more thing to remove in addition to the dealer stickers.

One bad thing about all the polishing is that it is rough on the tape pinstripes...One of these days I won't have the original ones either, LOL. At that point I'll have to decide whether or not to redo them. One cool thing is that they are the same color as the leather seats.

I didn't have to remove dealer stickers...for some reason there is no dealer logo other than the license plate frame - not that I'm complaining. Next weekend I'll buy some Dynamat to put on the back of my new license plate and then I'll take the dealer license plate frame off & put my Dynamat frame on!

The dealers by me all do paint pinstriping on cars inside the showroom. I haven't seen tape pinstriping in ages. I've always not wanted paint stripes because of the added hassle and cost of redoing them in case you have to repaint parts of your car. They do look much better than tape though.

Just a passing comment regarding dealer graphics and licence plate frames with the dealer's name. If anyone is in the process of ordering a car you can tell the sales rep that you do not want any dealer graphics applied to the car. In my case I didn't even want the dealer license plate frame. Why provide free advertising for the dealership unless they compensate you for it!

Ah that doesn't work in all cases. I told them no up front and somehow the dealers stickers ended up there anyway. No biggie I removed them as soon as I got home with no scratches!

I remember buying my second new car. When I took delivery of it, I noticed they placed a dealer ad decal on the hatch lid. So as we were working out the "numbers", I asked how much for the decal and they responded "no charge". I responded "actually it will be $50 a month". The salesperson seemed confused, and I said that I don't provide free advertising, that it will cost them $50 a month for me to drive around with that decal on. The decal was removed before I left!

Yeah, I was quuite surprised to see that there werent any dealer logos on my car--every other car Ive seen from this particular dealer has them. I literally got mine straight off the truck, so I guess they didnt have time to put them on. I hate dealer logos and probably would have done something like MrMikeL.
