Color changing headlights... possible?

So as i was making my new avatar... i messed around with some editing of a picture of my car. Would it at all be possible to make (or if they are already made) color changing LED headlights?

I use to have green LEDs in my corners. I kept getting pulled over so I took'em out and put in some superwhite LEDs.

I thought that green was legal? I know the only colors (atleast in florida) that are illegal to visible in the front of your car is blue or red.

The cops told me here in Texas my corners including rear turns can either be white or amber, thats it.
Im not to sure on the headlight color. Since my corners are white I want my headlights to match.

^ weird. maybe it would be legal to do some behind the grill lighting with matching fog lights.

Here in TX your able to have lights behind the grill. Apperantly any color too cuz I see it quite often.
The only stipulation is that it cannot be flashing while on the road. Me personaly I dont like the streetglow thing.
I dont like'm under the car or in the grill. It looks rice to me.

Well, back to your topic...
I think 8000K HIDs in your headlights and fogs would look good with the blue theme you have goin.
Maybe change the amber corners to LED would be cool too.

ya thats a good idea, is 8000k less bright than the gen 2 stock lights though?

Not sure what the brightness of stock Gen 2 headlights are??
If they are halogen then they will be brighter.
If they are anything less than 8000K then is not gona be as bright but more blue.

whats a good mixture between being bright and being blue? havent fully understood the whole rating thing (6000k 8000k etc)

These are my HIDs the very first time I turned them on. They are 6000K Diamond White. They are effin bright!!!



As time progressed they strarted to get a blueish tint to them.



You can do a search for 8000K HIDs and find some pics. The 8000K is gona look more like the blue pic in your first post on this thread.

dont they get more blue as they heat up?

Yes, but once they are in for a couple of months when you turn them on they flash white and immediately fade to the blueish tint. Well, mine do atleast.

Mine are to the point where they are as blue as they are gona get. They arent as blue as I want them. So, when I get HIDs for my fogs Im gona get the 8000K and then prolly next year Im gona switch out my 6000K HID headlights for the 8000K as well.

if you have money and time anything is possible (in my opinion) however, for the safety and useful-ness color changing headlihgt is unnecessary. maybe only for the show?
