Hey, what do you guys think of these? I REALLY like these OZ rims for my cosmic blue '04 V6 SE SPORT....

These should fit, right? They are 17's, but I think that suits my style and performance targets well. I'll put 235's on next.... and in the meantime, my current (plenty of tread) 17 Potenzas can just be swapped over, and my #1 priorities, WEIGHT and QUALITY should be met....

Any thoughts?

Maybe.... but I have 16's on my MKIII Supra with 255/55/16 BFG ZR's pinched on the stock rims (sleeper-stock lookin' yet meaty...) and that setup works and looks good. (LOTTA rubber, yes, "smallish" rim...)

I think it could look good and work very well. Any other thoughts?

(I'm sure these are around 4-5 pounds lighter PER RIM.... HUGE rotating mass savings over stock.... HUGE!)

^^^ Yeah, thanks Quick.... I agree. Those are HOT rims, and since the O.D. of the rim/tire package is what is critical.... I have a difficult time justifying the larger to "exadurated" diameter rims when they can DETRACT from performance, both in weight and in road feel, suspension take-up (with rubber, particularly ROUGH roads), with ride, with traction in FOUL weather.... (sidewall contributes to better winter weather grip.... ever tried to drive a 35 series donut in snow?)

I think I'll do FINE filling my wheelwell with rim+tire.... I don't require (nor prefer) looking like....

That's lookin' a little "Lunar Mist"ish. Did you steal another Gen2 or just odd lighting in the photo? That Cosmic Blue is quite the chameleon color.

......hmmmmm........ could it be the "skylite-ambiance" filters I have hanging in the pine behind me? 8)


Slightly overcast.... heavily canopied yard and refracting rays directed through the crystal vapor trail of two criss-crossing jets overhead that day.... perhaps? :roll:
