in my opinion. it looks good. but keep it subtle.
I had neons before in my solara without hiding them really well (back wintow area and side pillar) and it didnt look well.
after hiding a few under teh seats in the rear as well as in the front the car gives off a much better look from the inside as well as out.

as far as underglow im sure it looks alright but if your car is a daily driver i'd see it as pointless...

just my .02.

But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

I have red cold cathodes under the dash(passenger and drivers) and 2 under the front seats as wellas multi-color leds under car and red cold cathodes in trunk for my audio. At first I was skeptical with the one under the car but once I got em I was happy. I made sure the tubes aren't exposed inside or outside I ike it and I think its 8) Just my $.02

for the inside I should say underneath the dash.......and for the outside you might want to include the sides and rear bumper to make it even, it's for show......so show it!! :D :drinking:

I don't know why, but I've always liked creative lighting. I was doing that in cars/trucks back in the ... uh... let's just say a long time ago!

If you keep the light source hidden and only show the glow, then I don't think anything is off-limits. Be creative! :)

I just wish the under-car lights were legal on the streets. I think they look cool.

My 2¢

FWIW - I'm going to install some under-car lights (white) near the doors and trunk, so I can have them come on when I open the doors, so you can see puddles, curbs, dead cats, etc... ;)

You should rig them to the unlock so after the lights blink and the car beeps the underside lights stay on until the door opens then closes. (Or maybe a 20 second cap would be easier.) Then you can see the dead cats as you're walking up. (what kind of neighborhood are you livin' in? )

Yo Gurl - you got a link on those? (or at least a keyword I can use?)

Thanks! :D

Haha! I live in a great neighborhood - but gotta travel a lot up to Hollyweird hills and stuff - a lot of dark narrow roads in the hills where folks live - no shoulder/sidwalk so you can't see sh!t when you approach your car (literally - my GF stepped in dog sh!t and it was dark. Luckily, it was getting OUT of the car and right by her door - LOL!!!)

I'd have to figure out that timer though... I had something similar on my Tundra, but just tapped into the existing Cargo Lights, which did exactly what you're suggesting, stock from the factory. Interior lights too, so you could see if someone was hiding in your car with a meat hook! :o

I have two 3' red neon bars, one behind the top part of the grill, one behind the bottom section. They look pretty sweet, just watch out for the undercar ones. I busted two 4' bars from driving in bad weather.

I scrounged around and found the $14.99 white LED tubes... BUT:

"Shipping for this item is $49.99"

WTF!!!???

Gonna keep looking I think! ;)
