Fog Light Tint w/ Yellow Bulbs?

Fog Light Tint w/ Yellow Bulbs?

Postby cklinh » Mon Jul 10, 2006 2:31 pm

So... I love my Nokya Arctic Yellow Fog Lights when they're on... was just hoping to improve the looks a bit when they're not...

Anyone know what will happen if you use yellow bulbs with a yellow tint? blue tint? smoked tint?

Or should I just revert back to a white bulb and get the yellow tint?

My .02

Postby JMSinMaryland » Mon Jul 10, 2006 2:44 pm

I wouldn't. I think the light would still be yellow but you'll cut down on your light tranmission a lot. The yellow bulbs aren't as bright as clear (though I guess a lot of guys like the "Lexus" look). I would go either clear bulb with tint, or yellow bulb with clear lens but not both.

I dont think any of the Nokyas beam stronger than the oem....unless you have true hids

read that on a thread somehwhere. I'm content with my yellow tints i picked up from www.stickercity.com I vouch for them....but apparently iinocturnal hasnt had a good buying experience himself.. so yeah

I would go with a yellow bulb with the clear lens myself.

RGZTOY,

So, not too much of a light reduction? Did you get your tint from Sticker City?

Well, since I still have my OEM bulbs... I guess I can try to see which bulb looks better paired with the yellow tint (I've already sold my Arctic White fog bulbs, otherwise, I'd try them too...)

Just waiting to see if iinocturnalii gets his issues worked out before I get them too...

^^^Thanks... I was waiting for a resolution from your posts before I would have ordered. The $8 shipping from them seems like overkill anyways... I'm gonna go ahead and place an order with rockblocker... thanks for the link!

My homeboy got rockblockers a week ago on his dodge charger... they fried from the heat of the headlights. I've had my 3M film tint from stickercity for 2 years now, and not one prob.
