Need some help installing OBX sport pedals on my 2006 Solara
I feel worn and defeated.. I almost want to cry
..Today I figured I'd swap out my OEM pedals and install the OBX sport pedals. I bought them about a month ago so I was psyhced having the time to do it.. Well, the Accelerator was a snap. Put a bit of soap and some water on it and had it on in 10 minutes. Now I go for the clutch.. Well 2 hours later I'm still struggling, sweat pouring, and then thunder..
I put the OEM back and wimpered my way to the house dripping in sweat, both brake and clutch OBX's in hand. I looked for some tips. Yes I kow use soapy water, I did.. I could get the rubber lip around the top or bottom, but when it came to that last stretch it just would not happen! Anyone find some "trick" or anything that made this less painful? I'm going to try again tommorow when it stops raining, hopefully it will be a bit cooler out. I'm sure I got he right pedals part number PTS-22-06031.
When I turn the clutch and brake pedals over M1 is stamped on the rubber. I'm thinking of slicing the rubber a bit to get soe more stretch out of it. Any help would be appreciated. No laughing please
