Well, I finally broke down and got an Injen intake for my beast - trying to work the ropes to get a CARB sticker for it because we also have an '03 Camry that I can qualify it for. ;)

I'm not going to post pics here because it just looks the same as everyone else's Injen - but I can't believe the growl it makes! DAMN!! And it might just be my imagination, but it sure seems to squelch that hesitation issue quite a bit!

I'll take some video this week and post it soon... it's really radical in the convertible! Lovin' it! :D

Congrats Jeff!

It's one sweet ride you've got there! I agree, the Injen is my favorite mod. Enjoy!

Thanks - plans are to finish off the engine compartment with some braided hoses, a TRD FSTB (just for looks of course) and an Optima Red Top battery. If I can figure out a way to get more cold air in there as well I might just do that too, eventually. :)

Thanks man - I got a Lambo door kit coming this Summer too... gonna have Lanzini (one of the Overhaulin' Body Shops Chip Foose uses) do the work for me to make sure they're done right and line up well! May have them help me get some cold air in the intake as well. Still playing around with some custom paint schemes too... he's got a lot of left-over paint from the Overhaulin' shows! ;)

Hey man - sorry I just couldn't justify the CP-E setup right now... besides, it looks like I might get the CARB sticker for my Injen intake and that's a big issue here in CA! ;)

Suggestion

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed May 17, 2006 8:23 am

If you're spending all that money on bodywork, it might be a good opportunity to have all the rear emblems shaved, holes filled, T removed and banged down flat with the rest of the sheet metal. It always looks better shaved. Leave people guessing. Jon.

That's totally my plan before getting a paint job! I really wish Toyota didn't have that big circle hump where their emblem sits on the rear deck lid... sux.

Okay - gonna take some video today so you can hear it. I'll try to get it posted tonight. :D

It's not released for the '06 anyway... When you get the vid, let me know where you got the audio from. I'll try to do the same so we can compare sound for the ragtop.

And you should be thankful... you have the inset circle to deal with but imagine the new Toyotas with that silly front logo bump on the grille. Nothin' you can do to that without major work.
