Gen2 headlight conversion project

Postby Biggi_e » Tue Mar 14, 2006 1:43 pm

Ive been doing some research for quiet some time now for headlight conversions for our cars. I am going to be trying to work on:

-Angel eyes
-Black housing

this project will officially start in 2 weeks. Ive been saving money to buy a few pairs of headlights and parts for this project and my buddies customizing company. I will let u all know more about this when the time comes. If you have any questions please PM me.

NICE! Glad to know someones gonna start working on this project. Cant wait to see the outcome! Are you going to write a tutorial for a DIY project or are you just selling them as you do it.
For your poll i prefered- black housing

DEFINITELY Black Housing...

Angel Eyes are somewhat "me-too"-ish...

Most likely if everything goes well, i will put them out for sale. Depending on how much money this will cost, the material and all that. Also if it does work. My buddies company will be putting them together for me if i can get a group buy. Everything right now though is not for sure...and plus i dont want to be selling them high up for people that wouldnt be able to afford them so i MIGHT make a DIY on it. But i will keep everyone posted. Thanks for the input so far.

Hmm, I'm very interested in this project.
And possibly buying a set if you are successful.

Angel eyes can look really good, or really tacky, depending not only on the workmanship, but also on the particular headlight. Some people think BMWs are the only cars that look good with angel eyes, and as of right now, i agree.

Blackhousings might be good, but the Gen2 headlight is so big and exposed, it might not look good.

I would like to see photoshops of both ideas (it might help your poll too)

I would be interested in clear corners and a retrofit of the projector. 2005 TSX projectors with the "washer mod" would be awesome.

look at all that color.

also, if you're making the black housing headlights, im hoping you're going to make it with clear corners and not the amber color right? just curious cuz everything clear would look real nice and agressive

i will photoshop when i get a chance

all headlights will have the amber piece removed. I cant stand that little reflector but i dont know what i could use to plug the little holes yet or make it a flat surface.

Also you all know DONATIONS ARE ALLOWED! :D :D
