HIDS 5300k vs 6000k

Hi all, for those of you with hid kits, whats the difference between 5300k and 6000k? I'm looking for a color to the HIDS found in Lexus with a slight hint of blue, but more or so white. I just don't want any hint of yellow, that's all. Thanks.

6000k is brighter and less yellow (if any at all), but then again I don't have HID's, just the cheap rip-offs that I'm aching to get rid of (Silverstar)

Ive seen both 5300k and 6000k in person...

Im really anal about the color too and didnt want any yellow whatsoever... and when i saw the 5300k i was very disappointed in seeing some yellow... i heard during the day it was a nasty yellow

even if you go on cardomain, pictures dont capture the actual color of HIDs... you just gotta see it in person

go for the 6000k and you will be pleased with the results without any yellow
Retired... its been fun Image

I bought the 6000k mcculloch. But my eye feel tired..after 2 hours ++ drive. So I switch back to 4300k right now

anyway 4300k is brighter than 5300 k then 6000k

if 5300k and 6000k is brighter...why those audi and bmw has to use 4300k and 4100k bulb

HID Kits seem to be getting more popular on Solaraguy these days.

Anyone wanna try and setup a group buy (or is there already one?) from xenondepot or another reputable source?

I think a group buy is what i need to get me to make the purchase...

I thinks its Kryzawn(sp?) who sells those online here. Check with him on proces.

I bought my McCulloch 5300k bout a month ago. You can see my pics in the pics section or my cardomain. But as sid earlier pics dont do justice.

My HID's give out a pure white light. Thats wat i wanted. I didnt want the blue custom loook.
But u seem like u want the blue tint so ur bes tbet is 6000k. Now remember - the higher the temp - lesser is the light output.

also - i wanted to do the Lexuz IS look with yellow fogs so i cudnt go with blueish anyways.

hope this helps bro.

the McCullochs are pretty good. I'm 2 yrs and going and haven't had any problems with them. Some others have had problem with McCullochs but i haven't.

I have had friends with Philips and they priase that brand but they all have burnt out bulbs.

But to me its all about the installer not the product.
