I'd just as soon not get rear ended when the sun is low, but that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

The mileage statement it's just a way of saying what applies to me may not apply to you.

Just thinking out loud, is it possible to remove the lenses and have a tinting shop apply something to them? This way, you'd be able to decide just how dark you like them.

hmm that makes me wonder also, i think i can get them sprayed also-the black color but if i dont like it i'de have to buy new tail lights which would suckkk.. i think putting on the tint is alot more time consuming for whoever is doing it but, im gonna find out about that question...im suprised no one else thought about doing this yet on the 2nd gen.

When you're trying things for first time, having the option to reverse what you did can be useful. Don't ask me how I know this.

I saw a black Gen 2 in Hayward that had smoked taillights... looked good.

Smoked tail lights have been done before, even for a Gen 2. A previous member with a Gen 2 did this with red instead of black. This was a DIY job, which looked fine. However, if you want it done professionally, there are shops in your area that does this. Just ask around.

I have Michael's grill but plan to switch them both (upper and lower) to Stillen (?) billet.

black outs

Postby JMSinMaryland » Mon Sep 19, 2005 6:42 pm

I am working with this guy that does smoked vinyl for my 99 Camry. It is removable and leaves no residue. Completely reversable as well. Jon.
