Scion tC Headers on Gen2 I-4 (Do they work?)

Has anyone tried to install the Scion tC Headers onto a Gen2 Solara I4? Everything I've seen looks like it will work.

Check out this tutorial for installing the DC Sports SHC4402 Header onto a tC. The tutorial looks good. I question the impact of the CEL fix. (But I'm not familiar with the anti-foul product)

no they fit on top but not where you connect the exhaust

call JPP and ask them if they can modify one of the gen 1.5 headers to your car

If the lower portion of the header doesn't connect to the exhaust, why don't you cut off part of the forward exhaust tubing. Then weld a cut and bend a new pipe to make it fit. I used to work at an auto shop where the guy welds custom exhausts togehter and has a mandrel bender. You'd be surprised at how they could make something work, and how affordable it would be. Are you in Southern California?

Headers are not ceramic. They're ceramic coated. This can be wirebrushed off for welding.

No, he's talking about cutting off the exhaust pipe and re-welding it to fit, not cutting off the header and re-welding that. Too much work. Cutting the exhaust pipe, bending a new piece and welding it inline with the old exhaust pipe to line up with the header is a snap for most shops.
