The answer is no. It is definately not something you want to waste your money on, especially when you can get that on Ebay for like $30. It's just a fan that is supposed to draw in more air into your engine. You will not see the kind of gains they are advertising.

These POS "electric superchargers" have been ragged in the "forced induction" forum.
(See: http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=8678 )

Please don't waste your hard earned $600 on this "oversized electric hair dryer".

no way was i spending that much money on something i had never heard of. if they were that great they would be all over the place. all well, guess we just have to keep playing the waiting game, which has proven to be truly wonderful as we all know

The Scion TC has the exact same engine as the Solara and Camry i4. Couldn't the Solara use the same supercharger as the TC? (with little modification perhaps?)

intake maybe ok, but keep in mind that the engine room lay out might be different because different chasis. If for sure it will work for 4 banger solara, the company woud say it work for solara.

and yeah, that just a blow drier work on intake. if it really works, magazines would talk about it. it is so lame just like no magainze would bother to talk about how much down force you can get for aluminum wings on a FWD cars.

I don't think the CAI for the tC will fit, but maybe a short ram will.

Funny this thread should come up.

There was a film that was linked on the forum fairly recently. It showed before and after results putting a leaf blower into the air intake.

I myself am working on changing the voltage in order to be able to run a leaf blower on DC power. Just a few more tweaks left (the converter I have seems to get awfully hot and the hood needs a bungie cord to close) and then oh boy!
