What you want is some folding rear views. Now that'd really give me a piece of mind.

I'm not so sure I like them. Carbon Fiber Mirrors ... pretty cool. Flashing Xenon lights ... I don't know. I guess I'd have to see a Solara with them.

I guess I'm more into subtle mods that leave one wondering if it came this way from the factory. (Ie special edition)

IMO: Trendy mods are cool for a short time till every mini-pickup in rural America has it installed. Then you're stuck with something that's not unique anymore. (Catch 22 huh?)

OH OH like my vvt-i emblem. People ask me if that's some type of special edition since all the V-6s follow an SE or SLE. Now that gets them pondering alright.

It's pretty subtle so I like it. 'Ya gotta keep 'em guessing.

Dude at Service dept. at Toyota asked if I got some kind of TRD Package when I purchased the car w/ the TRD Emblems on the side and Shaved off all but Solara+VVTi Emblem... But, I'd like more

I had the same question asked of me last week. I replaced the TOYOTA on the trunk with this aluminum badge. (With my car being red, it really looks good. This picture is not from my car.)

sad

Postby mmcdonald » Tue Apr 12, 2005 4:53 am

What's sad is that even with all the free TRD advertising on your ride, TRD doesn't do squat for us. Just some shift knobs and pedal covers and s**t.

You know they say they can't do the sc because of emissions, but what about just a brake package or something?

Sorry for ranting on your bling thread. IMO, if you get those lights, no one will have to guess if you're lower middle class. That's just IMO, ya see.

Notice they are not CF. They're plastic with a carbon fiber paint job when they come out of the box.
